Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.
Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is an excellent choice for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These robots come with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. With the app you can start and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place, emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It also comes with a large LCD display that is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for most people but it can help easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are among the best on the market however it's expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that does a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have an dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuum s that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move around, however.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
